Teh Man and i watched the mia wascawelweccekowski film version on easter sunday. i enjoyed it quite a bit. i think you are absolutely right that the pacing robbed it of unadulterated excellence. the spouse thrilled me when he said it was a most compelling plot. i timidly asked him today if he'd be interested in, over time, watching the twoish-year-old BBC miniseries version, and he responded with an enthusiastic yes.
