Happy Birthday, Dad! For his 81st birthday, Dad went snow tubing with some friends (and me) up at Liberty Ski Resort. It was a blast, and Dad went down many times, both sitting and lying face-down. I got a kick out of watching him with his friends. I told them you could tell he was the father of four children, because he herded them, directed them, warned them of ice and slipperiness, just like he did us when we were little.

Apres-tubing, we had dinner at the historic Fairfield Inn, which has operated as an inn since before the Revolutionary War. Because it was his birthday, he got 81% off his entree. Just 19 more years, Dad, and you can get your food for free!
