I wish I could find a movie still online that captures how great the visuals of this film really are. I knew it was in black-and-white (with just a few moments of color), but I didn't know how inventive the use of b&w would be, nor how finely graded and drawn many of the scenes would be. It's a great film from every angle---narratively, thematically, and visually.
