just beautiful. i haven't had a chance to see the film yet, but i have picked up on the criticism that the film makes it seem as if the slums are pervasive, or perhaps gives them greater weight in the indian experience than many feel it should. it makes me think that if any one film concerns people in such a way it's more of an indication that more such films (and more films about other aspects of that country and culture) are necessary, not fewer or more rigidly vetted films. just a thought. neither here nor there.
