This framed photo has been on my bookcase for years, and I really stopped to look at it today. It's Mary, Eve, and I (and Mary Ellen) backpacking in the late 1980s. We look so young---and look at the size of those packs!!

too adorable. especially your glasses, kibble.
I feel compelled to mention that I did not wear these glasses regularly at the time. I wore contacts and only wore glasses when I was backpacking (even then just now and then). Even at the time, I was annoyed that I was wearing them when this pic was taken. They were old even then!
You know I have never even noticed you were wearing glasses until I read the comment. I have such great, great backpacking memories with you and Mary.
