Washington Post, Nov. 4

Keep an eye out for next Sunday's Post. Film critic Desson Thomson will have an article about crying in the theatre, which I think will include a quote from me.

Lynn,

I saw you in the Post today (Sunday's Post, but I get the arts sections and inserts on Saturday) and was going to email you to let you know. Was The Mission that good? I've never seen it.

Lynn, Saw you quoted in the Post. What's the rest of the story?--do tell. How did you hook up with Desson?

Desson invited comments on crying in movies on his chat, and I responded. The part of the story he cut out is that, when I entered the huge theatre (The Senator in Baltimore) is was completely empty, and I sat in the first row. So I had no idea that during the course of the movie the whole theatre had filled up with people! The Mission is excellent . . . stars Jeremy Irons and Robert DeNiro among others.
